Red, White and BOOM FEST
Tollison, Tucker, Talbott to lead Monday’s parade
U.S. MILITARY VETERANS, long-time members and officers in the local American Legion Post No. 5 and active community leaders Kenneth Tollison, Bill Tucker (in a photo from his service in Vietnam) and Larry Talbott, from left, will lead Kingfisher’s annual Red, White and Boom Fest Monday as parade marshals. The parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Kingfisher. More fun is in the offing at Kingfisher Park beginning at noon to 10 p.m., including games, train and fire truck rides and more. Great eats and cool treats are available from local food vendors from 2-10 p.m. Live music begins at 7:30 p.m. with the Katie Bailey Band, followed by fireworks at dusk sponsored by the City of Kingfisher. See the center spread of the second section in today’s issue for full details and biographies of parade marshals in Sunday’s edition.
