Commissioners approved an agreement with Canadian County Juvenile Detention Services to hold underage detainees for the 2024-25 fiscal year on an as needed basis.

All commissioners – Jeff Moss, District 1, chairman; Ray Alan Shimanek, District 2, vice chairman, and Anthony Schwarz, District 3 – were present for the meeting, along with County Clerk Jeannie Boevers, minute clerk; County Engineer Nik Smith and City County Emergency Manager Ryan Deatherage.

Commissioners met with county officers, including Sheriff Dennis Banther, Deatherage, County Assessor Carrie Turner, County Clerk-Elect Emily Lee, County Treasurer Robin Rother, Court Clerk Lisa Markus and county budget maker Nick Storm of the firm Storm and Hauser to review county budget estimates for the coming fiscal year.
