Kingfisher High School seniors Jhett Birdwell and Reese Roof are the October 2025 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at a recent meeting of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.

Birdwell is the son of Joel and Bridget Birdwell.

He’s active in football, basketball, Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Birdwell is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society, was a member of the 2023 academic state champion basketball team, selected as Student of the Month and is a member of the First Baptist Church.

He plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in animal science.

Roof is the daughter of Reagan and Lindsay Roof.

She’s active in basketball, softball and track and has earned all-conference honorable mention, all-conference first team and all-tournament team in basketball and also served as basketball team captain.

Roof was on the academic state champion softball and basketball teams, selected as a Student of the Month and as Athlete of the Month.

She’s also involved in STUCO, FCA, Student Leadership Council and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society and attends First Baptist Church. Roof plans to attend OSU and pursue a career as an ultrasound technician.
