Three Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Syra Littlehawk, Allison Themer and Destiny Buckner.

Littlehawk is the daughter of Theresa Bonds.

She has been a drum major for the Pride of Kingfisher band for two years and has been named to both the Red Carpet and All-Area honor bands.

Littlehawk is a part of the National Honor Society and has been named Student of the Quarter at Chisholm Trail Technology Center.

She is currently the president of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) at CTTC.

Littlehawk plans to work as a medical assistant while attending courses at Oklahoma City Community College before later transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma.

Themer is the daughter of Tammy and Dennis Themer.

She was the winner of last year’s Kingfisher County Distinguished Young Women program and the second runner-up at the state competition.

She’s active in FFA, is the Student Council president, National Honor Society vice president and founder of Students Stepping Up. She is also on the Center of Family Love Teen Board.

Themer was a part of the national semifinalist parliamentary procedure team, won the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award and was an Oklahoma Girls State delegate, at which she served as lieutenant governor.

Themer plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in strategic communications and minor in health and exercise science.

Buckner is the daughter of Tanya Buckner.

Buckner has joined Littlehawk as one of the drum majors for the Pride of Kingfi sher the last two years.

She’s earned a spot in the Red Carpet Honor Band each year since the seventh grade and also has been named to the All-Area Honor Band.

Buckner has twice advanced to state in solo and ensemble competitions.

She plans to attend OCCC for two years and earn a license as a medical assistant. After that, Buckner plans to take part in the radiology program at the University of Oklahoma.
