Rotary Club hosts 4 KHS seniors

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Mary Slofsky, Kiera Beecher, Kylee Lambert and Macy Harrison.

Slofsky is the daughter of Jeff and Susannah Copeland.

She’s active in Drama Club, was named Drama Club queen and was listed on the honor roll.

Slofsky is also active in wrestling, received fifth place at the junior high state wrestling meet, was named most improved and is a wrestling manager.

She attends the Church of the Nazarene and is involved in the youth group.

Slofsky plans to attend Southern Nazarene University and major in early childhood education.

Beecher is the daughter of Kyle and Kerry Beecher.

She has served as the Technology Student Association president and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper.

Beecher received first place in t-shirt design at the Sequoyah County Technology Challenge and was the state representative for the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference.

She also received fourth place in financial math and analysis at the Business Professionals of America conference and placed second in news editing at the Southwestern Interscholastic Meet.

Beecher plans to earn a degree in graphic design and work as a UX designer.

Lambert is the daughter of Kyle Lambert and Jennifer Lambert.

She’s active in choir, robotics and participates in church activities.

Lambert plans to attend culinary school after graduation.

Harrison is the daughter of Laynette Harrison and Mark Harrison.

She’s active in drama, choir and is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society.

Harrison plans to attend Portland Community College in Oregon and major in psychology. Her goal is to become a psychiatrist.
