Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Tanner Parker, Harley Schlegel, Coleman Gilles and Addy Matthews.

Parker is the son of Tommy and Amy Parker.

He’s active in football, baseball, STUCO and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Parker was also a football homecoming candidate, received the senior class “most contagious laugh” award and is involved with the Kingfisher church of Christ.

He plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma and would like to open a sports training facility in the future.

Schlegel is the daughter of Aaron and Nikole Schlegel.

She’s active in cheerleading, FCA, STUCO, Students Stepping Up and was a member of the 2023 cheerleading state championship team and the 2021 cheerleading academic state championship team.

Schlegel is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and attends Life. Church.

She plans to attend UCO and major in nursing.

Gilles is the son of Brian and Tiffany Gilles.

He’s active in basketball, baseball, cross country, STUCO, Students Stepping Up and is on the yearbook staff.

Gilles is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, received the Young Writers Anthology Award and served as junior and senior class president.

He plans to attend Oklahoma State University, followed by law school.

Matthews is the daughter of Dakotah and Amanda Matthews.

She’s active in basketball, soccer, STUCO, FCA and has received the Wheat Capital Tournament MVP award, all-state honorable mention and was named to the Western Athletic Conference all-conference team in basketball.

Matthews is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and is a member of Life.Church.

She plans to attend UCO and major in pre-med.
