Rotary Club hosts Kingfisher seniors
Seven Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.
Joining the local civic group were Jorden Beck, Jett Braun, Kylie Hood, Elijah Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Eli Johnson and Olivia Reyes.
Beck is the son of Krystal and Anthony Beck.
He’s active in Business Professionals of America, STUCO, Students Stepping Up, academic team and is a member of the all-conference academic team.
Beck is also a member of the National Honor Society and is involved in debate, gaming, graphic design and attends the Church of the Nazarene.
He plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in political science with a minor in business negotiations.
Braun is the son of Lonnie Braun and Blair Braun.
He’s active in baseball, is a member of the National Honor Society and attends Kingfisher First Baptist Church.
Braun plans to attend the University of Oklahoma.
Hood is the daughter of Shane and Janet Hood.
She’s active in golf, STUCO, serves as FFA vice pres- ident and was selected Distinguished Young Woman of Kingfisher County and DYW of Oklahoma.
Hood also serves as National Honor Society vice president and is involved in Kingfisher First Baptist Church.
She plans to attend OSU and major in English, prelaw and agricultural communications with aspirations of becoming an attorney.
Elijah Johnson is the son of David Johnson and Mechelle Windham.
He’s active in choir, band, theater and has attained Life Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America.
Johnson plans to pursue a degree in music.
Charlie Johnson is the daughter of Amy Johnson and Dusty Johnson.
She’s active in vocal, theater, serves as a young adult mentor in American Heritage Girls and attends Kingfisher First Baptist Church.
Johnson plans to begin an independent study in theater costume design and apply for theater internships.
Eli Johnson is the son of Jeff and Amy Johnson.
He’s active in baseball, FCA, received the 4.0 Award and was selected as Student of the Month.
Johnson is also a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and National Honor Society and involved in Kingfisher First Baptist Church youth group and Michael Swisher Media.
He plans to attend OSU and major in business or accounting.
Reyes’ parents are Christopher Reyes and Jessica Cisneros and her guardian is Brandy Lucero.
She’s active in choir and has placed at Western Oklahoma Choral Directors Association Honor Choir multiple times and received other choral awards.
Reyes plans to attend college or pursue a trade.
