Rotary Club hosts trio of KHS seniors
Three Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.
Joining the local civic group were Jake Reagan, Jaelin Cortes and Amy Deatherage.
Reagan is the son of Jason and Carma Reagan.
He’s active in football, basketball, track, golf, STUCO and was a member of the basketball academic state champion team and two state championship teams.
Reagan was selected as 3A-1 football defensive end of the year, CTB Sports football all-star and OCA 3A football all-star and will participate in the K101 bowl.
He’s also a member of the National Honor Society and involved in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Reagan plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and major in business.
Cortes is the daughter of Yobany and Mariana Cortes.
She’s active in cheerleading and was a member of the 2023 state champion team and 2021 academic state champion team.
Cortes is also a member of the National Honor Society, was listed on the Principal’s Honor Roll and is active in STUCO and Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
She plans to attend the OU and major in marketing.
Deatherage is the daughter of Ryan and Jill Deatherage.
She’s active in cheerleading and was a member of the 2023 state champion team and 2021 academic state champion team.
Deatherage is also a member of the National Honor Society and active in FCA, STUCO, serving as president, and the First Baptist Church.
She plans to attend NOC-Stillwater and major in communication sciences and disorders, ultimately pursuing a career in speech
pathology.
