Rotary hosts 3 KHS seniors
Three Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.
Joining the local civic group were Jayden Shaver, Maleonia Vogt and Peyton Walker.
Shaver is the daughter of Chad and Lisa Shaver.
She’s active in honor choir and is a three-time member of Western Oklahoma Choral Directors Association honor choir, is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll and received a perfect reading score on the ACT.
Shaver is also a member of the Center of Family Love Teen Board and received first place in accounting at the Southwestern Oklahoma Scholastic Meet.
She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a degree in accounting.
Vogt is the daughter of Leo and Casey Padilla.
She’s active in soccer, STUCO, is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll and is involved in Limitless Church.
Vogt plans to attend the University of Central Oklahoma.
Walker is the daughter of Charles and Julie Walker.
She’s active in cross country and was a member of the 2023 4A academic state champion cross country team, is on the basketball team, serving as captain and was selected to the 2024 OGBCA All-State team, academic All-State team and first team all-conference in basketball.
Walker is involved in soccer, Students Stepping Up as an officer, STUCO, FCA, serves as yearbook editor and senior class secretary and was named Student of the Month.
She’s also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll and was selected as a Junior Lion.
Walker plans to play basketball for the University of Central Oklahoma and pursue a degree in elementary education.
