Rotary hosts 6 KHS seniors
Six Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club. Joining the local civic group were Damion DeAlba, Rhett Schlegel, Omani Rodriguez, Kevin Smith, Juan Charqueño and Aidan Stephens.
DeAlba is the son of Jessica and Jeremy Conner. He’s active in soccer and attends Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. DeAlba plans to attend Redlands Community College, then transfer to Oklahoma State University.
Schlegel is the son of Nikole and Aaron Schlegel. He’s active in soccer and football, was District 3A-1 special teams player of the year in football and attends Life.Church. Schlegel plans to attend college where he’ll be a member of the football team and pursue a career as a paramedic and firefighter.
Rodriguez is the son of Nicola Rodriguez. He’s active in basketball and fitness training. Rodriguez plans to attend college and pursue a career in video game development.
Smith is the son of Liz and Shawn Smith. He owns and operates Kevin’s Lawn Service and is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. Smith also attends Kingfi sher First Baptist Church. He plans to pursue a career in law enforcement as a homicide detective.
Charqueño is the son of Marco and Martha Charqueño. He’s active in soccer, is a member of the National Honor Society and attends Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Charqueño plans to pursue a career as an immigration attorney.
Stephens is the son of Michael and Kendra Stephens. He’s active in basketball, is a member of the National Honor Society and attends LifeWay Church. Stephens plans to attend college and major in business.
