Rotary hosts KHS seniors

Four Kingfisher High School seniors were guests recently at a meeting of the Kingfisher Rotary Club.

Joining the local civic group were Amya Reyes, Roberto Paredes, Gracie Fuksa and Sara Farris.

Reyes is the daughter of Brandy Lucero and Christopher Reyes.

She’s active in choir and earned a “1” two times at district solo competitions, is on the academic team and enrolled in a cosmetology program.

Reyes plans to attend Central Oklahoma College and earn a medical esthetician license and an associate degree in business.

Paredes is the son of Manuel P. Gonzalez and Martha Cabada Gonzalez.

He’s a member of the KHS Photography staff.

Paredes plans to attend a Career Technology center and then enter the workforce.

Fuksa is the daughter of Sheila Fuksa and Ryan Fuksa.

She’s active in band, competed in Southwestern Interscholastic Meet (SWIM), and has earned the 4.0 Award.

Fuksa is also a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society and is a blood donor and volunteer with Our Blood Institute and at the public library.

She plans to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University and major in nursing.

Farris is the daughter of Luke Farris and Amanda Farris.

She’s active in band and is a member of the National Honor Society.

Farris also volunteers with the STARS program, at church and with Girl Scouts.

She plans to attend college to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
