Sanders Funeral Service staff honored during OFDA convention
Two Sanders Funeral Service employees were recognized last week for their years of service in the funeral industry.
Honored were Richard “Dick” Dunham and Rachael Stallings during the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association Convention & Expo in Norman.
Dunham was presented with his award and pin for 50 years of service to the industry. He has been with Sanders since 2011 and was one of dearest friends of Rusty Sanders, the late founder of Sanders Funeral Service.
Stallings was presented with her award and pin for 25 years of service.
She has been with Sanders since 2019.
In her acceptance speech, Stallings said she viewed Rusty Sanders as one of her mentors since she was a child and was pleased to be serving back in Kingfisher where she was raised.
Rusty Sanders was also acknowledged in a memorial service dedicated to all the funeral directors that passed away this past year.
Joining Dunham and Stallings at the ceremony was Chad Sanders, funeral director in charge at Sanders Funeral Service.
“We value the experience and dedication all of these individuals bring to the table and look forward to serving our community for many years to come,” Sanders said.
