Sapulpa firm wins bridge rehab project

By

A Blaine County sidewalk project and Kingfisher County bridge rehab are among more than $10 million in contracts awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission at its December meeting last Monday.

Logos Construction Co. of Sapulpa was awarded a $1,451,826.42 contract to rehab the southbound lanes of U.S. 81 over the Cimarron River bridge, 6.9 miles north of the SH 33 junction.

The project length is just under three-tenths of a mile.

Tom Hudson Paving Inc. of Guthrie was awarded $681,904.20 to construct sidewalks in Okeene from Elm Street east on Broadway Street, a distance of .745 mile.

The contracts were among 39 awarded at the meeting of the nine-member commission appointed by the governor and legislative leadership to oversee the state’s transportation development.

The commission also approved changes to speed limits along I-35 south of Moore to provide consistency in the corridor, with speed limits now at 65 mph from Goldsby to the Oklahoma County line. New signs are expected to be in place by late January.
