School board races develop

Races developed in three Kingfisher County school districts as the filing period came to a close Wednesday evening.

Two people filed for opening seats on the Okarche, Hennessey and Dover boards of education. Filing were: OKARCHE - Ryan McIlvain (incumbent) and John Pinkerton HENNESSEY Amy Charmasson (incumbent) and Doyle Miller DOVER - Cortney Fuston (incumbent) and Jake Terrell Those board seats will be decided at the General Election on April 2, 2024.

No races developed in the other school districts as incumbents were the only ones to file in three of them: KINGFISHER -

Charles Walker LOMEGA - Julie Myers CHISHOLM TRAIL TECHNOLOGY CENTER - Jeff Hyatt There will also be no election in Cashion as Kelly Davis was the lone candidate to file for the seat currently held by Steve Andrews, who did not seek re-election.
