School board special meeting Monday

By

Kingfisher Board of Education will have a special meeting Monday to discuss an item it tabled at last week’s regular meeting.

The meeting will be held at noon at the administration building.

One item on the agenda is discussion and possible action of extra-duty pay schedules.

That item was on last Monday’s regular August meeting agenda, but the board members voted unanimously to table it.

“Based on our discussion and the extra-duty being presented with an increase this year, I make a motion we table that until our next meeting where we can discuss that with Mr. Glover prior to approving that,” said board member Brad Wittrock.

Superintendent David Glover was unable to attend that meeting due to an emergency.

That item is set to be discussed during executive session along with the proposed hires for a paraprofessional at Heritage Elementary and a teacher’s assistant at Gilmour Elementary.

Also on the agenda is an item to approve the local education agency (LEA) authorized representative with the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
