Giving every Kingfisher County school student the same start for the 2021-22 school year is the goal of Kingfisher Community Collaborative’s annual school supply drive.

The event provides a backpack loaded with required school supplies to children of qualifying families and typically serves about 150 students throughout the county.

Backpacks will be distributed next week, but tax-deductible donations are still sought to help defray expenses.

Checks can be made out to KCC, with “school supply drive” in the memo line, and mailed to Kingfisher Community Collaborative, P.O. Box 1192, Kingfisher, 73750.

Applications also are still being accepted for families seeking backpacks for their children.

Hard copies are available at Kingfisher City Hall or may be downloaded on the KCC Facebook Page.
