Kingfisher High School seniors Cy Jones and Peyton Walker are the January 2024 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at recent meetings of the Kingfisher Lions Club.

Jones is the son of Eric Jones and Jack and Heather Leitner.

He’s active in FFA and in Chisholm Trail Technology Center where he has earned 3G and 6G welding certifications.

Jones is also a member of the National Honor Society, Oklahoma Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

He plans to enter the workforce and start a business in freelance welding.

Walker is the daughter of Charles and Julie Walker.

She’s active in soccer, cross country, basketball and was a member of the 2023 academic state champion cross country team and was voted all-conference in basketball in 2023.

Walker is a member of the National Honor Society and Oklahoma Honor Society, was named Student of the Month and serves as senior class secretary.

She’s also an officer in Students Stepping Up, involved in STUCO, FCA and First Baptist Church.

Walker has signed to play basketball at the University of Central Oklahoma and major in education.
