Sewing classes begin Friday
Kingfisher County Extension will host adult sewing classes for individuals who want to learn how to sew or need help with various projects.
Classes will be ongoing every first and third Friday (unless otherwise indicated).
They’ll be from 1 to 3 p.m. and will begin Friday, May 6.
“Participants are welcomed at any time,” said Lindy Peterman, Kingfisher County FCS Extension educator, who will be leading the classes.
Possible skills participants will learn include:
• How to use a sewing machine
• How to construct a simple garment/home decor/quilt/etc.
• Choosing, reading, and following a pattern
• Basic altering and/or repair
The meetings are free for the public to attend (unless other materials are needed).
Sewing machines and some tools are available for participants to use.
The workshop is held at the Kingfisher County Extension Office in the Courthouse Annex.
