Show up to show it off.

Stick around to burn it out.

The 23rd annual Kingfi sher Kool Cars & Chrome Show is next Saturday, Aug. 2.

It will be held in the parking lot on the west side of Interbank, 320 N. Main St.

Once again, the Kingfi sher of Chamber of Commerce is working with its members to continue to make it bigger and better.

Last year’s event featured 83 cars.

The goal this year, said Chamber Executive Director Shauna Rupp, is for 100 entrants.

The show begins at 10 a.m. and the awards will be announced at 1 p.m.

“Participants in the car show are encouraged to participate, as are locals,” Rupp said. There’s still more to take in after the cruise. At 2 p.m. the chamber is adding a brand new event, its first ever “Burnout Competition.”

Among the new features this year is the chamber partnering with NAPA of Kingfisher to add a new kids’ game area.

“Young and old alike will enjoy new additions like an alternator throw, car bash and more,” Rupp said. “More activities are being confirmed and we will reveal those in the next week.”

Immediately following the awards, the chamber will join with the K-Town Kruisers for a cruise on Main Street.

It will be held on 7th Street just west of Walter Building Center.

Advanced registration is open for both the car show and the burnout events. To register, visit business.kingfi sherchamber.com/events.
