EXTENSION OFFICE – The new Kingfisher County OSU Extension Offi ce is starting to take shape. Crews began to set the framing for the facility last week. The structure is being built at the Kingfi sher County Fairgrounds. Extension employees were formally stationed at the Kingfisher County Courthouse Annex, but were forced to vacate due to major plumbing problems. The annex will soon be demolished. In the meantime, the staff is set up in a temporary trailer just west of where the new facility is being built. Extension staff saved for several years to pay for the new facility so no additional cost will go to county taxpayers.. Calm Construction was awarded the bid in March, submitting one for just over $1 million. [KT&FP Staff Photo
