Kingfisher choirs, ensembles, soloists receive high marks

Kingfisher Upper Elementary and Kingfisher Junior High participated in the Seiling Music Festival hosted by Seiling Public Schools on April 4.

The KUE had a fifth grade choir and a sixth choir perform and the KJH had its mixed choir (boys and girls) and treble choir (girls only) perform.

Each choir is judged by three judges and the ratings are averaged together to arrive at the final rating.

Ratings for choirs and solos and ensembles are as follows: I=Superior, II=Excellent, III=Good, IV=Fair and V=Poor.

All four choirs earned Superiors from each judge, giving them final ratings of Superior.

These KUE students earned Excellent in solos and ensembles:

• 6th Grade Boys Ensemble: Beau Brueggen, Dominic Long, Phillip Askey and Reid Swafford

• 5th Grader Dravyn Brooks

• 5th Grader Alexis Countryman

• 5th Grader Laurelyn Takape

• 6th Grader Hannah Warren

• 6th Grader McKenzy Wilson

These KUE students earned Superior in Solos and Ensembles:

Each student in ensembles and solos who earn Excellent receive a certificate and each student in ensembles and solos who earn Superior receive a medal and a certificate.
