Six people filed declarations of candidacy as of noon Tuesday for county school board seats, but no races had yet developed, County Election Board Secretary Shawna Butts said.
Filing continues through 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Candidates who have filed include: Cashion – Jessica Ballard, incumbent.
Hennessey – Luke Lough, incumbent.
Okarche – Mike Krittenbrink, incumbent.
Lomega – Justin Glazier, incumbent.
Dover – Shawn Walker, incumbent.
Chisholm Trail Technology Center – Dustin Brodrick of Watonga.
As of press-time Tuesday, no one had filed for the Kingfisher school board seat, currently held by Jim Perdue, or the unexpired Office 5 seat for Cashion, currently held by Ryan Suntken.
Candidates who draw no opponents will win automatic election to their respective seats.
If only two candidates file for an office, the race will be decided at the general election April 4.
If more than two candidates file for the same position, a primary election will be held Feb. 14.
