The school boards in Kingfisher, Dover and Okarche will have new members seated at their next meetings.

Meanwhile, the town boards in Okarche and Hennessey will have varying looks this year as well.

The changes are the results of municipal and school board elections held statewide last Tuesday.

Kingfisher School Board

Alumnus Brad Wittrock won the open board seat as he earned 363 votes (63.8%) from voters while Mitch Massey garnered 206 (36.2%).

The total number of voters this year (569) is down from last year’s total of 726. Kingfisher voters last year were also deciding a city commission seat.

Massey, also a KHS graduate, was narrowly defeated in last year’s election.

Wittrock fills the seat being left open by Jim Perdue, who did not run for re-election.
