Sparks running for District 2 commissioner

By
Sparks running for District 2 commissioner

[ Ed. note: Mike Sparks has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following paid political announcement of his candidacy for Kingfisher County District 2 Commissioner, subject to the June 18 Republican primary election.]

My name is Mike Sparks. I am a Republican candidate for Kingfisher County Commissioner, District 2.

My wife Lori and I have made our home in Hennessey for the last 36 years. We have been married 40 years and raised five children - Jared, Jace, Lauren, Mason and Olivia - in the Hennessey school system.

I have worked for Kingfisher County District 2 for 27 years. Working for three different county commissioners throughout the years, I know I have the experience needed to be your commissioner.

I have experience operating heavy equipment, as a CDL truck driver, a receiving officer, inventory officer and a purchasing agent.

I have been through 15 state required audits and have worked with FEMA for paperwork for natural disasters.

The commissioners’ job is much more than road maintenance. It includes budgets, employees and several organizations within the county.

I look forward to communicating with the citizens of Kingfisher County.

The commissioners’ job is to work for the people. We are elected to do the job the citizens want done.

The commissioners’ position is a full-time, high-priority job. If elected, it will be my only job, with availability 24/7.

I am running on transparency, experience and honesty. I am asking for your vote June 18.

Paid for by Sparks for County Comm 2024.
