Kingfisher 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) STARS after-school program worked ahead to celebrate World Kindness Day, which was Saturday, Nov. 13. Students made eight soft, fluffy fleece quilts to donate to the Department of Human Services. They made kindness quilt square posters and hung them at both Kingfisher Middle School and Heritage School. STARS students “chalked the walks” of KMS, Heritage and the Kingfisher Administration buildings with their favorite “kindness quotes” to greet students and staff on Kindness Day as they arrived to school. “STARS students had a great week learning the importance of kindness and being kind to yourself, to others and to the world around you,” said Terry Willis, one of the program’s directors.
