Kingfisher High School senior Taylor Mills and Jax Sternberger have been announced as the Junior Lions for February 2023.

The two were guests at a recent Kingfisher Lions Club meeting.

Mills is the daughter of Brent Mills and Amber Mills Ballard.

She’s active in softball, Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Students Stepping Up.

She is president of the National Honor Society and is a member Oklahoma Honor Society.

Mills has been named Student of the Month, earned the 4.0 Award and was twice named to the all-conference team in softball.

She plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in biochemistry. Mills’ career goal is to become a doctor.

Sternberger is the son of Jason and Jackie Sternberger.

He’s active in football, basketball and golf.

He’s been inducted into the National Honor Society, has been a member of two state championship basketball teams, an academic state championship team and was named an Oklahoma Football Coaches Association 3A all-star.

Sternberger has signed to continue his football career at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant.

He plans to get a degree in business and pursue a career in turf and grass management for golf courses.
