Kingfisher Educational Foundation “sold” and raced 446 rubber ducks Wednesday night at Vernie Snow Aquatic Center in the organization’s 23 ^rd annual duck race, raising more than $22,000 to fund grants for teacher-designed classroom enrichment projects. Despite a rocky start with a malfunctioning fan, board members David Blair, Vaynna Borelli, Kristi Hyatt, Jeff Wilcox, Sara Garrett, Jeff Johnson and Zac Kannady, from left, managed to get the flock across the pool to name this year’s prize-winners: John and Madi Wald, first ($1,000); Johnsons of Kingfisher, second ($500); Mike and Judy Johnson, third ($300), and State Farm Insurance and Case Mercer, tie for last ($100 each).
