Sts. P&P youth to collect for food bank
Members of the Sts. Peter & Paul youth group will once again be “trick or treating” for a good, local cause.
The church’s youth will be collecting items for the Kingfisher County Food Bank.
They’ll make their rounds in Kingfisher from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27.
Youth will be going door-to-door throughout town to collect.
If those wishing to donate prefer, they can set out their items on their porch and turn on their porch light.
They are asked to set out their non-perishable items and to keep in mind that out-of-date foods cannot be distributed.
Examples of non-perishable food items include:
• Canned meats
• Canned tuna and salmon
• Peanut butter
• Jelly
• Canned or dry soups
• Canned stews and chili
• Tea bags
• Coffee (ground no beans)
• Canned pasta
• Canned vegetables
• Canned fruit
• Canned pasta (Spaghetti “O’s”)
• Hot and cold cereals
• Rice
• Cake mixes
• Pancake mix
• Syrup
• Powdered milk
• Packaged pasta (macaroni & cheese, etc.)
• Juice boxes
• Canned juices
• Canned beans
• Spam
• Canned gravy
• Granulated sugar
• Baby food & cereal (glass jars accepted)
• Baby formula (Enfamil/Similac)
• Granola bars
• Cereal bars
