There’s no place like home . . .
Singer and songwriter Josh Meloy was in his hometown long enough last week to witness one of the multiple tornadoes that were confirmed in Kingfisher County. The storms made their way through much of Oklahoma on Monday night. Before making his way back out on the road to perform in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, Meloy made his way to the top of a house near Red Fork Drive and Manning Drive to capture this image. This location is about one block north of the Hennessey Early Childhood Center and other HPS facilities, including the Eagle Event Center. The Hennessey swimming pool and park are directly east of the homes that are pictured. Storms reportedly damaged several barns and storage buildings, but any damage to homes was minimal. The National Weather Service had not yet determined the strength of the local tornadoes. [Photo by Josh Meloy]
