Theta Tau elects officers for 25-26
Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met at 7 p.m. Monday, March 17, at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.
Stormy Simmons, vice president, conducted the business meeting. Ramona Paine, chaplain, read “A Creed to Live By.”
Cathy Holsted, Ways and Means chairman and Western District ESA treasurer, stated that the members have been extremely busy these past few months baking.
Members baked over 60 dozen cinnamon rolls for customers and to sell at Oklahoma State Council meeting to fund the 2025 convention.
Members baked cookies for the Western District ESA meeting held March 1 in Edmond with the proceeds going to an organization in Oklahoma City that specializes in stopping human trafficking.
Then on March 8, Theta Tau hosted the Oklahoma State Council meeting at Sts. Peter & Paul Fellowship Hall and members provided salads with a cake auction.
The members will work the St. Jude Dream Home in Edmond the last four weekends in August.
At the May meeting, the group will honor Paige Krause’s grandson, Landon Rempe, as its Outstanding Youth.
Members turned in their hours that they worked in the name of ESA and monies they donated to charities for the state annual philanthropic report which is due April 1.
Those elected to serve as officers for 2025-2026 are: Stormy Simmons, president; Karen Hubbard, vice president; Ramona Paine, secretary; Cathy Holsted, treasurer; Terri Peck, educational director; and Teri Stake, parliamentarian.
Theta Tau is responsible for the table decorations for the 2025 state convention and also agreed to purchase an ad in the convention program book.
The next meeting will be April 21 and it will be an Easter egg hunt (possibly) with more details to follow.
Simmons and Misty Blundell served Italian cake, drinks and nuts in honor of their mother’s upcoming birthday to the following: DanaTerrell, Paine, Cynthia Eaton, Debi Trout, Beth Scheiber, Dana Golbek, Holsted, Avery Carter (granddaughter of Misty), Krause and Hubbard.
