Theta Tau holds October meeting
Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21, in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church.
President Terri Stake opened the business meeting with members reciting the opening ritual. Ramona Paine, chaplain, gave the devotional title “Today.”
Terri Peck, educational chairman, introduced Gayle Cox who told about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library sponsored by Kingfi sher Public Library.
Cathy Holsted, philanthropic chairman, stated a member gave $150 to St. Jude’s in memory of several friends who have died.
Baking date was presented: Amish bread baking is Nov. 21-22 and that order deadline is Nov. 15.
Theta Tau will have a booth at Winterfest where members will be selling Amish bread, cinnamon rolls and Aunt Bill’s candy.
Holsted attended Western District meeting on Oct. 19 in Oklahoma City.
Theta Tau will host the March State Council meeting and there will be a cake auction.
Members must purchase their dessert. Holsted reminded members to keep track of their philanthropic hours.
The club will be giving a donation to the Imagination Library in the near future and to Santa’s Toyland.
There will not be a Nov. 18 meeting, but the club have an impromptu meeting during the baking if there is any business to be conducted.
The next meeting will be in December with a date to be announced later.
Cynthia Eaton will be one of the hostesses and the Social Committee announced members will be playing “Dirty Santa” that evening.
Stake and Karen Castonguay served Halloween- themed refreshments to Halloween costume- dressed members: Ramona Paine, Eaton, Debi Trout, Donna McPherson, Dana Terrell, Peck, Holsted, Dana Golbek, Stormy Simmons, Karen Hubbard, LaVenia Boutwell, Beth Schieber and great-granddaughter of Holsted, Avery Carter.
