Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met in the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. Monday, April 17.

President Paige Krause opened the meeting with the ritual and conducted the business meeting.

The following will serve as officers for the 2023-2024 chapter year: Dana Golbek, president; Teri Stake, vice president; Ramona Paine, secretary; Cathy Holsted, treasurer; Terri Peck, educational director; and Kraus, parliamentarian.

Golbek’s theme will be “All Aboard with Theta Tau, Embrace the Journey.”

Stormy Simmons told the members the dates available for the St. Jude’s Dream Home in the Edmond area. The dates available are: Aug. 6, Aug. 12 and Aug. 19.

The members decided to take all three dates to work those weekends.

Cathy and Doc Holsted will attend the state convention April 29-30 in Tulsa.

Cathy Holsted will honor Reginia Grabow in the memorial service and Doc Holsted will carry the chapter banner in the opening ceremonies.

Paine, publicity chairman, sent the newspaper clippings about Theta Tau chapter meetings for the year to the state publicity chair, Jackie Grantz, to be placed in State President Linda Jones’ publicity book.

Kraus gave the educational on the topic “Women in Agriculture.”

Kraus told of her being a loan processor for Oklahoma Ag Credit, located north of Kingfisher.

She said it covers 60 counties, loans money for ag-related area with leasing options available and members received patronage checks for using the service. There are only two ag credits in Oklahoma with the other being Western Credit. Kraus also lives on a farm and has a cow-calf operation and cash rents her cropland.

The next meeting will be May 22 at the home of Cynthia Eaton for the group’s social, installation of officers and reveal of secret sisters.

Homemade sugar cookies made by Madel Henderson and drinks were served to members Paine, Eaton, Debi Trout, Simmons, Dana Terrell, Golbek, Allie Carter, Misty Blundell, Donna McPherson, Krause, Holsted and LaVenia Boutwell (hostess).
