Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma met at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, in the fellowship hall of the Kingfisher First Christian Church.

Teri Stake, chapter vice president, called the meeting to order and the opening ritual was repeated in unison.

Cathy Holsted reported Stormy Simmons had the top cake, Italian cream cake, at the cake auction held during the State Council meeting held March 9 in Shawnee.

At the St. Jude’s Fundraiser event held Feb. 19, the group raised $1,020 from the dinner and dessert auction.

Theta Tau is in charge of the hospitality room at the Delta Hotel by Marriot at the Reed Center, Midwest City, on April 26-28.

At the April meeting, members will bring items (puppy chow, Chex mix, trail mix, cookies, gift cards, little bottle of wine) to fill 30 to 40 small brown paper bags which will then be sold for $3.

When purchased, a member will receive a raffle ticket to place on different door prizes that will be available.

Members were to turn in their philanthropic hours and monies spent to Holsted for the yearly report.

Theta Tau will have an ad in the convention program.

The members selected a mystery sack that will contain a clothing item and accessories they are to wear to the May meeting.

In February, the members selected a sack that contained a hat and purse.

Cynthia Eaton, nominating chairman, reported the 2024-25 chapter officers are: Teri Stake, president; Stormy Simmons, vice president; Ramona Paine, secretary; Cathy Holsted, treasurer; Terri Peck, educational director; and Dana Golbek, parliamentarian.

The May 20 meeting will be at the home of Eaton at 6 p.m.

The group will honor two youth whose grandmothers are members of the chapter.

Also that night will be the style show, installation of new officers and secret sister reveal.

Peck, educational director, distributed some information on how to make a charcuterie board and ideas of what kind of foods go on the board for the different holidays.

Members enjoying Italian cream cake (baked in honor of Holsted’s birthday) and soda were: Paine, Eaton, Debi Trout, Simmons, Allie Carter, Holsted, Donna McPherson, Dana Terrell, Peck, Karen Edgar, Paige Kraus and Stake.
