Theta Tau members install 2024-25 officers during May meeting

Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma met at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the home of Cynthia Eaton for a social, installation and reveal of secret sisters.

The members were attired in their mystery clothes they selected from sacks back in February and March - fashion show for the clothes of the future.

Cathy Holsted conducted the installation ceremony of the chapter officers: Terri Stake, president; Stormy Simmons, vice president; Ramona Paine, secretary; Cathy Holsted, treasurer; Terri Peck, educational director; and Dana Golbek, parliamentarian.

Peck’s theme is “Reading Brings the World to Your Doorstep; Join the Adventure with Theta Tau” and books are her logo.

All officers and members received a chapter book of the Hardy Boys.

Those attending the State Convention in Midwest City on April 26-28 were: Doc and Cathy Holsted, Glenn and Stormy Simmons and daughter Olivia, Dana Terrell and Ramona Paine.

Holsted served as convention chair, Stormy Simmons as convention treasurer and Paine as outstanding chapter chairman.

Theta Tau won the following awards: second place, $51,594.81, ALSAC event in 16-plus members; second place, state project, money reported in timely matter; third place, state project, money donated; third place, Hope for Heroes; third place, philanthropic, second place, disaster fund; and, first place, ESA Foundation (donation not sent directly to the foundation).

Members attending the social event were: Paine, Eaton, Debi Trout, Simmons, Holsted, Donna McPherson, Terrell, Peck, Karen Edgar, Paige Kraus, Misty Blundell, Karen Castonguay, LaVenia Boutwell, Golbek, Stake, Misty’s granddaughter Avery Carter and Karen Hubbard, guest.
