Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met in the home of Cynthia Eaton at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 10.

The Social Committee served a full meal with the menu consisting of barbecue pork, buns, potato salad, baked beans, relish tray, punch and a cake decorated by Eaton.

Cathy Holsted conducted the installation ceremony for the following: Paige Krause, president; Dana Golbek, vice president; Ramona Paine, secretary; Holsted, treasurer; Terri Peck, educational chair; and Karen Castonguay, parliamentarian.

Krause’s theme is “Boot ‘n Scootin’ with Theta Tau.” Her logo is cowboy boots and sunflowers.

The members ordered chapter shirts with her theme.

Cathy and Doc Holsted, Ramona Paine-Means and Rod attended the 79th annual Oklahoma State Council of ESA State Convention, April 29-30 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Tulsa.

Paine served as educational chair.

She carried the chapter banner during the flag ceremony and Holsted served as marshal to the U.S. flag.

After the flag ceremony the two participated in a Hope for Heroes presentation, “America’s Table” narrated by Rosalie Griffith, Inola.

Theta Tau won several awards at the luncheon.

They were: Disaster Fund, first place; Easter Seals, first place; ESA Foundation monetary donations and donations not sent directly to ESA Foundation, third place; Philanthropic House, second place; Philanthropic Monies, third place; state project donations, second place; and ALSAC event total monies donated (16 members or more), third place.

Jacque Cantrell, educational chair, announced the state theme “Route 66 Diners/Drive-Ins, East to West Coast.”

Members signed up to work the St. Jude Dream Home in August. The home is being built in Edmond.

Members signed up for new committees and being hostesses for next year.

Those members taking part in the social were Dana Terrell, Stormy Simmons, Madell Henderson, LaVenia Boutwell, Donna McPherson, Holsted, Castonguay, Paine, Misty Blundell, Golbek, Teri Stake, Peck, Ally Carter and baby daughter Avery, Eaton and Krause.

Secret Sisters were revealed and new names were drawn.

Meetings will resume in September after a summer break.
