Chris Carroll

[Editor’s note: Chris Carroll has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following paid announcement of his candidacy for Cashion Board of Education, subject to the Feb. 8 primary election.]

My name is Chris Carroll, and I am seeking election to the Cashion Board of Education.

It was a blessing to be raised in the Cashion community where numerous teachers and community members invested in the school and community.

When I started a family, I knew I wanted my kids to be raised with the same community support that I received.

Cashion Schools make up the fabric of our town. Yes, we have other businesses in the community, but the school is why people move to Cashion.

From my grandfather to my children, four generations of our family have attended Cashion Schools and have been blessed with an excellent education and extra-curriculars that shape who you are.

With my background in education, children actively involved in the school, and previous school board experience, I would be a great addition to our current members and will represent each part of our community.

I graduated Cashion High School in 1998 and attended Oklahoma State University where I received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural education.

I taught agricultural education for eight years before joining Oklahoma Ag Credit in Kingfisher.

The last six years I have worked for National Livestock Credit Corp. where we offer cattle financing for ranchers.

My wife Holly works for Oklahoma Farm Bureau. My daughter Maggie is in the sixth grade at Cashion Middle School and my son Reed is a third grader at the Cashion Elementary.

I was on the school board previously and was involved in a bond that added the newest portion to Cashion Elementary, upgrades to the softball and football fieldhouses and the construction of the school farm barn.

Also, while I was on the board, music and band programs were brought back.

Additionally, numerous infrastructure upgrades were made throughout our campus.

Cashion is growing and that is inevitable. We must embrace the growth but also ensure that we keep the small town feel and tremendous support that makes Cashion great.

Cashion offers an excellent education that prepares you for college or the workforce and that is evident by our teacher and student success.

I ask for your vote as we continue to invest in the best interest for all Cashion Wildcats.

Jenifer Stockton

[Editor’s note: Jenifer Stockton has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following paid announcement of her candidacy for Cashion Board of Education, subject to the Feb. 8 primary election.]

I’m Jenifer Stockton and I’m asking for your vote for the Cashion Board of Education.

I graduated from Connors State University with an associate’s degree in nursing in 2008, from Northeastern State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree and from Maryville University in 2016 with a master’s degree in nursing.

I am a wife and mother of four, Dalen 17, Matthew 15, Andrew 10 and Elise 6.

I am also a nurse practitioner and have served more than 20 years in the Air National Guard, where I hold the rank of major.

This community and school district have allowed our children opportunities that they wouldn’t overwise have had in other districts.

My husband and I have been involved in CASA sports, school sports and music programs, volunteer opportunities through the education foundation and community sponsored events.

I am running for Cashion School Board because I have four active children in the district.

I have one child in elementary, one at the junior high and two in high school. I have a vested interest in the success of our schools.

I want to support the progress and success our district has achieved.

I am excited about the direction the district is headed, with a strong focus on school growth, family, and community engagement.

It is important to me that we keep the education, safety, and well-being of each student at the forefront of our decisions.

I want to continue to promote progress in our district, open communication, transparency and quality support to our administration, teachers and families.

We have amazing families and a community that fosters the growth and development of accomplished children.

I want to continue that culture for our school and community and ensure our children are prepared for the next stages of life.

Chuck Kordis

[Editor’s note: Chuck Kordis has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following paid announcement of his candidacy for Cashion Board of Education, subject to the Feb. 8 primary election.]

My name is Chuck Kordis and I’m running for Cashion School Board.

I have three kids who attend Cashion schools; Jaydin and Treyton are in middle school and Ashlyn is in elementary.

I’m very grateful to have them attend Cashion schools, the same as I did.

Cashion has the best administration, teachers, coaches and staff in this state.

Cashion has always had the best and I want to make sure they do for generations to come.

I graduated from Cashion schools along with my sister, parents and many other family members.

It has been said that I have an agenda to being on the school board.

That is completely true and that agenda is to make sure the school continues to have the best for generations to come.
