Three people injured in auto accident at Cimarron City

Two local people were injured in an automobile accident last Tuesday in Cimarron City.

According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 41-year-old Kassi Sarten of Crescent and a 4-year-old from Cashion were two of three people hurt in the accident.

The report said Sarten was driving a 2021 Infinity QX80 north on State Highway 74 near West Cooksey Road at about 10 a.m. The 4-year-old was a passenger in her vehicle.

Kathleen Epps, 63, Edmond, was driving east on Cooksey Road in a 2016 Ford Explorer.

Cooksey did not stop at a stop sign and was “t-boned” by Sarten’s vehicle when pulling on S.H.

74, the report said.

Both vehicles departed the roadway and came to rest on the northeast shoulder.

Sarten was taken to OU Medical Center by ambulance. She was treated for leg injuries and released, the report said. The 4-yearold, it said, was taken to OU Children’s Medical Center, was treated for undisclosed injuries, and released.

Epps’ injuries were more severe, according the report.

She was taken by ambulance to OU Medical Center where she was admitted with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

She was listed in critical condition, the report said.
