Three school board incumbents, new city commissioner elected Tuesday
In another low-turnout election, Dover, Kingfisher and Hennessey school board patrons re-elected three incumbents and Kingfisher voters elected a new city commissioner Tuesday.
Dover School Board
Dover native and retired hospice nurse Matilda Caldwell was elected to the Dover School Board by a margin of just two votes.
She collected 44 votes (51%) to 42 votes (49%) for challenger Adam Schilde, Dover parent and oil company owner.
Votes by precinct: 106 – Caldwell 1, Schilde 0; 203 – Caldwell 12, Schilde 0; 204 – Caldwell 31, Schilde 40; 305 – Caldwell 0, Schilde 2.
Kingfisher School Board
Retired career teacher Dana Golbek was returned for a third term on the Kingfisher School Board by a similar 51% margin.
She carried 371 total votes to 355 for challenger Mitch Massey, Kingfisher parent and construction company owner.
Votes by precinct: 101 – Golbek 151; Massey 144; 102 – Golbek 26, Massey 34; 103 – Golbek 29, Massey 20; 105 – Golbek 1, Massey 0; 301 – Golbek 144, Massey 156; 305 – Golbek 10, Massey 1.
Hennessey School Board
Veterinarian Dr. James Matousek will serve a fourth term on the Hennessey School Board after he was re-elected by a 68% margin.
Matousek carried 240 votes to 114 (32%) for challenger Chandra Garcia-Seiger, another Hennessey native and parent.

City Commission
Ryan Deatherage, owner of an Edmond landscaping company, was elected to a seat on the Kingfisher City Commission by a margin of 59%.
Deatherage drew 306 votes to 220 (41%) for incumbent Bill Tucker, retired city clerk, who was seeking a second term.
