More than 100 people walked across the stage for the final time as Kingfi sher High School seniors last Saturday. Commencement ceremonies for the 131st graduating class of KHS were held at 11 a.m. at the APB. This year’s class has 104 graduates and all but three took part in the ceremonies. Pictured above are several of those graduates celebrating just after being announced by Superintendent David Glover. During the ceremony, seven valedictorians offered speeches and former KHS teachers Terri Peck and Elise Morrow were inducted into the KHS Hall of Fame (more on their inductions in a future edition). This year’s graduating class was offered more than $4.1 million in scholarships and accepted nearly $2 million (more on those offers in an upcoming edition).
