Kingfisher County’s Academic All-Staters and their guest teachers were recognized at the recent Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Awards Banquet.

Katon Lunsford, 2022 Kingfisher High School graduate, attended with AP English teacher TJ Harris and Jayden Collier, Cashion High School grad, attended with science teacher Kimberly Simmons.

Lunsford and Collier were named among 100 outstanding high school seniors selected statewide and each was asked to invite a teacher guest “who had a significant impact on their academic experience and had been a source of support and inspiration for them.”

Both grads received college scholarships at the banquet.
