The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

May 8, 2:40 p.m. - At Seventh Street and Oklahoma Avenue. Caitlin Snyder, 19, Loyal, driving a 2015 Dodge Charger, was northbound on Seventh Street near the intersection of West Oklahoma Avenue.

Kathryn Roberts, 39, Kingfisher, driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, was eastbound on West Oklahoma Avenue.

According to the report, the Roberts vehicle failed to yield and struck the Snyder vehicle in the rear driver’s side door.

Disabling damage was reported to the Roberts vehicle and functional damage to the Snyder vehicle.

A 40-year-old female passenger in the Snyder vehicle sustained possible head and trunk injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher by Kingfisher EMS.

The drivers of both vehicles reported possible injuries, but refused treatment at the scene, the report said. Officer Dillon Chaloupek

May 10, 6:40 p.m. - At West Overstreet Avenue and South Ninth Street.

Jamie Hightower, 43, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Ford Fusion, was westbound on West Overstreet Avenue near the intersection of South Ninth Street.

According to the report, the Hightower vehicle passed over a metal plate which was covering a hole in the roadway. The metal plate became wedged under the vehicle and officers used a jack to lift the vehicle and remove the metal plate, the report said.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident and was assisted by Officer Jason East.

May 17, 4:45 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Wyatt Avenue.

Destinie Collins, 23, Yukon, driving a 2018 Dodge Ram, was southbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Wyatt Avenue.

Charles Greenfield, 42, Kingfisher, driving a 2005 Dodge Ram, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of Wyatt Avenue.

According to the report, the Collins vehicle swerved into the inside lane of U.S. 81 and struck the Greenfield vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Officer Justin Trumbley investigated the accident.

May 16, 2:45 a.m. - At South Ninth Street and West Overstreet Avenue.

Matthew Hollon, 27, Kingfisher, driving a 2013 Dodge Charger, was westbound on West Overstreet near the intersection of South Ninth Street.

According to the report, the Hollon vehicle struck a metal plate covering a hole in the street. The object was not clearly marked or secured to the roadway, the report said.

Minor damage was reported to Hollon vehicle. No injuries were reported.

Officer Brandon Chapman investigated the accident.

May 24, 4:30 p.m. - At 1600 S. Main St. Debra Haynes, 61, Kingfisher, driving a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse, was parked in a parking space in the McDonald’s parking lot, 1600 S. Main St.

Lesa Szczepaniak, 45, Kingfisher, driving a 2021 Dodge Ram, was backing out of a parking space at McDonald’s and struck the Haynes vehicle, according to the report.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Officer Christopher McDaniel investigated the accident.
