Traffic accidents

The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:

April 6, 11:25 a.m. At 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Ferdinand Cross, 62, Kingfisher, driving a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, was parked in a northbound parking space in the Walmart parking lot.

Nicole Monreal, 37, Oklahoma City, driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra, was westbound in the parking lot.

According to the report, the Cross vehicle proceeded to back out of the parking space and struck the Monreal vehicle in the passenger side door, fender and rear bumper.

Minor damage was reported to the Cross vehicle and functional damage to the Monreal vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Aaron Schlegel investigated the accident.

April 7, 2:18 p.m. - At West Sheridan Avenue and South 10th Street.

Raymond Carrasco, 47, Watonga, driving a 2013 Cadillac, was westbound on West Sheridan Avenue and stopped at the stop sign.

Ashley Cannon, 31, Kingfisher, driving a 1998 Chevrolet S10, was southbound on South 10th Street.

According to the report, Carrasco was stopped at the stop sign and observed a northbound vehicle on 10th Street which had also stopped at the intersection. As the Carrasco vehicle proceeded westbound it struck the southbound Cannon vehicle, the report said.

Functional damage was reported to the Cannon vehicle and no damage to the Carrasco vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Justin Conner investigated the accident.

April 7, 4:50 p.m. - At 1600 S. Main St.

Savannah Betancur, 37, Watonga, driving a 2017 GMC Yukon, was stopped at the McDonald’s drive-thru window.

Charles McKinsey, 29, Clinton, driving a 2018 Ford F350, was stopped in the drive-thru lane directly behind the Betancur vehicle.

According to the report, the McKinsey vehicle proceeded forward and struck the rear bumper of the Betancur vehicle.

Minor damage was reported to the Betancur vehicle and no damage to the McKinsey vehicle.

No injuries were reported.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

April 7, 7:20 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and East Locust Avenue.

Amy Trout, 28, Kingfi sher, driving a 2018 Dodge Journey, was northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near the intersection of East Locust Avenue.

Charles McBride, 37, Kingfisher, driving a 2007 Dodge Nitro, was eastbound on West Locust Avenue.

According to the report, the McBride vehicle failed to yield as it proceeded eastbound and struck the Trout vehicle.

McBride fled the scene, but was apprehended and arrested approximately two blocks from the scene, the report said.

Both drivers were evaluated by EMS personnel at the scene, but neither was transported to the hospital, according to the report.

Disabling damage was reported to the Trout vehicle and unknown damage to the McBride vehicle.

Trout sustained possible head and arm injuries and McBride also sustained possible arm injuries, according to the report.

On the following day, offi cers received a report that Trout had been treated at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for injuries sustained in the accident.

Officer Matthew Hollon investigated the accident.

April 11, 9:30 a.m. - At U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue.

Brooke Wilson, 50, Kingfisher, driving a Ford Expedition, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 near the Seay Avenue intersection.

Judson Birdwell,19, Kingfisher, driving a Dodge Ram 3500, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Wilson vehicle.

According to the report, the Wilson vehicle was stopped and waiting for traffic to clear to make a left turn into the access road leading to Dollar General.

The Birdwell vehicle failed to yield and struck the Wilson vehicle in the rear, the report said.

Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.

No injuries were reported.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
