Traffic accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
July 10, 1 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.
Scott Whetham, 51, Wichita, Kan., driving a 2023 Mack Anthem, was eastbound on S.H. 33 and stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of U.S. 81.
A 16-year-old male, Kingfisher, driving a 2005 Ford Ranger, was eastbound on S.H. 33 directly behind the Whetham vehicle.
According to the report, the 16-year-old’s vehicle failed to stop and struck the Whetham vehicle in the rear.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
No injuries were reported.
Captain Dustin Brodrick investigated the accident.
July 22, 3:16 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and East Robberts Avenue.
Victoryan Beauchamp, 23, Kingfisher, driving a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 and stopped at the traffic signal at the intersection of Robberts Avenue.
Andrea Poschen, 45, Enid, driving a 2009 Nissan Versa, was southbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81 directly behind the Beauchamp vehicle.
According to the report, the Poschen vehicle failed to stop and struck the Beauchamp vehicle in the rear.
Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
Beauchamp reportedly sustained possible unspecifi ed injuries and was evaluated at Mercy Hospital Kingfisher, where she was then referred to Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel investigated the accident.
