• Need help with those Thanksgiving desserts? The Kingfisher Lady Jackets Basketball Boosters have you covered with the annual Thanksgiving Bake Sale. They will be selling pies, cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls and more this Wednesday, Nov. 27, in the Atwoods parking lot. The sale begins at 10 a.m. and will last until they are sold (items go fast). • Kingfisher Winter Nights will be opening its holiday season Saturday, Nov. 30.
The annual lights spectacular in Kingfisher Park will include the lighting of the 50-foot tree at 6 p.m. It will also include food trucks, live music, concessions, train rides and more. KWN will be open through Dec. 28 from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 6 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Train rides will be available every night except Dec. 24-25 and there will be Santa sightings every Friday and Saturday night.
• Kingfisher’s annual Christmas parade will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7. Presented by the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce, the theme this year is “Cowboy Christmas”
and will once again be followed by the fireworks and laser show on downtown Main Street.
• Friends of Kingfisher Library is hosting its Gingerbread House Contest. Entries can be dropped off at Kingfisher Memorial Library Dec. 3-6.
Judging will be Dec. 7. There are four age groups ranging from kindergarten through adult and cash prizes for three places in each group. For more information, see the ad on Page 3.
