Grief Share resumes at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18. It is held at First Baptist Church in Kingfi sher and is designed to offer help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member or friend.

The 2025 Kingfisher Rodeo is this Friday and Saturday, Aug. 15-16, at the Roundup Club Arena at the county fairgrounds.

Pre-show is 7:45 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 8 p.m. each night.

Tickets are $10 at the gate. Kids 8 and under get in free.

4-H STEAK SANDWICHES: Kingfisher County 4-H is hosting its annual fundraiser during this year’s county free fair. Sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, at the Exhibit Building at the fairgrounds. Cost is $12. Pre-orders only. To learn how to pre-order, see the ad in this edition.

GARDEN TRACTOR PULL: This event makes its return to the Kingfisher County Free Fair. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, at the Roundup Club Rodeo Arena. For more information, see the ad in this edition.

KHS JUNIOR CLASS GOLF SCRAMBLE: Benefits from this four-person scramble go toward the KHS Junior-Senior Prom. The scramble is Sunday, Aug. 24. Shotgun start is 8 a.m. and the cost is $225 per team. SUMMER SOUNDS CONCERT SERIES: Presented by The Chisholm, this is a free series of concerts throughout the summer at Horizon Hill in Kingfisher. The next event is Thursday, Aug. 21, and features Travis Kidd. Music is 7 to 8:30 p.m. Come early and eat at the on-site food truck. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.
