Votes begin on Thursday
Hotly contested primary races wrap up soon with the start of early voting on Thursday.
Early voting for the June 28 primary election begins Thursday morning at the Kingfisher County Election Board inside the county courthouse.
Early voting is open to any registered county voter on Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Voters can also wait to cast ballots at their regular precinct polling places from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 28.
Both Republican and Democrat voters can cast ballots in their parties’ respective closed primaries and the state Democrat Party also has opened its primary to Independent voters.
No nonpartisan races appear on county primary ballots this year.
Independent voters wishing to vote a Democratic ballot should let the election worker know when they check in.
Any registered voter can view their sample ballots online by entering their name and date of birth on the OK Voter Portal. Hard copies of sample ballots also are available at the county election board office.
Due to statutory redistricting, it is recommended that voters verify their voting districts before heading to their voting location as some voting districts have changed. Contact the county election board for more information.

•Voters must wait until they leave their polling place before posting or sharing the picture with anyone.
•Improper use of the photo could result in a violation of the law.
•Voters may not use the image to coerce, influence, or intimidate another voter.
