Walmart provides funding for Trails, American Legion projects as part of its grand re-opening
As part of the grand re-opening of its Supercenter in Kingfisher, Walmart made donations last week to two local groups. During a ceremony, Walmart Store Manager Gretchen Phelps presented a check for $3,000 to Kingfisher Trails and $2,500 to American Legion Post 5. Cyndi Ice was on hand to represent Kingfisher Trails while Post Commander Mark Kirchner represented the local post. The American Legion had applied for a grant from Walmart and will use the funds to construct a flag plaza at Newfi eld Community Park. Construction on that plaza has already begun. The stores “re-opening” was to commemorate a major remodeling project that includes expanded online grocery pickup area, newly-painted interior and exterior, fully-remodeled bathrooms with the addition of a new mother’s room, new products in multiple departments, new flooring, new lighting, new shelving, new signage, expanded pharmacy “As the largest employer in CTTC’s district, it is an important partnership for us and one we look forward to continuing to grow in the future,” said Thomas. “Pioneer has been and continues to be a great partner with CTTC.” layout and additions to the electronics department.
