Cooler temperatures and rain blanket county over weekend
Rain fell across much of Kingfisher County over the weekend with 5.3 inches the heaviest amount reported.
Showers, accompanied by cooler weather, started the weekend relief on Saturday and thunderstorms early Sunday provided the icing on the cake with heavier downpours.
Besides breaking a string of 100-plus degree days, the rain gave a boost to pastures, summer crops, lawns and gardens, not to mention lifting spirits of local residents.
