Unfortunately, many of you didn’t receive your weekend edition of the Times & Free Press until Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.

A contract postal employee erroneously grabbed the containers meant for delivery to our Kingfisher and Loyal subscribers from the back dock of the local Post Offi ce on Friday.

They were then taken to a bulk facility in Oklahoma City. Despite our best efforts and with the help of local postal employees - both current and retired - we were not allowed to retrieve the newspapers from the facility to get them out for delivery in a timely manner.

“It was an unfortunate mistake and we do apologize to our subscribers and our advertisers,” said Publisher Barry Reid.

“We do plan to take steps on our end to ensure you continue to get your newspapers in a timely fashion.”
