Gant Browning scored the bulk of Kingfisher’s points at last weekend’s Cushing Tiger Invitational.

Browning took sixth place in the 126-pound bracket and was the Jackets’ only placer.

The junior went 4-3 in his bracket.

He won his first two matches as he pinned Grove’s Mack Sampton in 1:39 then beat Harrah’s Bo Manek 8-4.

That put him in the quarterfinal round, but Browning was sent to the consolation bracket with a technical fall loss to Gabe Romans of Allen, Texas.

Browning then won his first two consolation matches.

He earned a 6-3 decision over McLoud’s Austin McKedy and pinned Jay’s Korey Griffin in 2:48.

Kaiden Ailey of Blackwell got an 11-2 major decision over Browning in the consolation semifinal.

In a rematch with Romans for fifth place, Browning was pinned in 3:30.

Braxton Shellstrom garnered the other eight points for the Jackets.

The senior heavyweight was 2-2.

He pinned Tranel Love of Catoosa in 3:03 before losing to Allen’s Blake Palmer in the second round.

Shellstrom got a bye in the consolation bracket before pinning Blanchard’s Ryder Dobbs.

However, his tournament ended in the next round as he was pinned by Malachi Perez of Weatherford.
